He was predeceased by: his parents, David Eugene Young, Sr. and Iva L. Young (Eshelman); and his brothers, Thomas Young and Ronald Young. He is survived by: his children, Matthew Young, David Michael "Michelle" Young, LaDonna Keener, Zoe Piles, Dallas Young and Jonathan Young; his sisters, Cheryl Bungard, Michelle Alley and Janice Sherman; and his siblings' children, Holly Young, Heidi Young, Roxanne Marie Young, Monica Sue Meckling and Ronald.
