He is survived by: his wife Lora A. Avery; his children, Brandi Bailey (Charles), Michael Parks (Jenny), Taylor Avery (Zack) and Mathew Avery; his sister Diane Lovell; his grandchildren, James, Zaria, David, Elienna, Junior, Waylyn and Weston; and his close friends, Amanda Crawford, Debbie Kowalski, Mike Szymanski and Deborah Denny. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
