He was predeceased by: his parents, Theodore Hale and Myrtle Hale (Holbert); his significant other Reese Ferrell; his siblings, Rodney Hale, Raymond Hale and Gwendolyn Curtis; and his nephews, Monty Hale and Mark Hale.
He is survived by: his sons, Michael Hale, Jr. and Duane Hale; his siblings, Virginia Smith, Forrest Hale and Barbara Howe; and his sisters-in-law, Doretta Hale and Donna Hale. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 14th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM and on Friday, January 16th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Hillis Combs Funeral Home (935 Forest Ave, Zanesville, OH 43701). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 14th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
