He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Neal Forgey Sr. and Clare Forgey; his brother Steve Forgey; his son Brian Forgey; his grandson Christian Forgey; and his great grandchild Jace Fincato.
He is survived by: his wife Laura; his daughters, Crissy Forgey and Cyndi Forgey Rottmann; his grandchildren, Brittany (Jake), Lily (Ray), Dane, Collin and Kara; his great grandchildren, Jaydin, Carlee, Jason and Jamie; and his siblings, Marsha Hopeck, Jim Forgey, Loretta Freeland, Mary McNulty (Jim) and Carol Wachter (Mark). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Brucker & Kishler Funeral Home (985 N 21st St, Newark, OH 43055).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made in Ed's name to The Dawes Arboretum, a place he greatly enjoyed and held dear.
