He was predeceased by: his parents, Walker Shell and Clara Shell (Boyer); his wife Darlene Shell; his daughter Eva Shell; and his sister Louella Van Dyke (Shell).
He is survived by: his son John L. Shell; his grandchildren, Alexis French (Shell) and Austin Bowers; his great grandchild Caden French; his sisters, Viola Walters (Shell) and Ruby Bowers (Shell); and his niece Lorie Waters. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Hebron Cemetery (934 W Main St, Hebron, OH 43025).
