He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Smith and Betty Smith (Miller); and his brother Daniel Smith. He is survived by: his wife Diane K. Smith (Oliver); his children, Daniel Skadeland Jr., Jeremy "Boe" Skadeland (Jennifer), Amy Baldridge (Jim) and Alexandra Foster (Dean); his siblings, Mark Smith (Janet), Michael Smith and Diane Davis; and his grandchildren, Scott Aldrich and Kelsey Ridenour. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren.
