He is survived by: his mother Rhonda Schmidt (Hites) of Helena; his siblings, Christina Patton (Robert) of Columbus, Curt Schmidt of Helena, Kyle Schmidt of Helena and Casey Schmidt (Trisha) of Green Springs; and his close friend Samantha.
