It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruth Helen Ickes of Helena, Ohio, who passed away on June 4, 2025, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Sprauer and Edith Sprauer (Brown); her husband Thomas Ickes Sr.; her daughter Helen Marie Ickes; and her pet Cinnamon.
She is survived by: her children, Debra Miller (Chilt) of Fostoria and Thomas R. Ickes Jr. of Luckey; her grandchildren, Forest Ickes, Tabitha Mihailoff (Hunter), Thomas R. Ickes III (Maddie) and Eliana Ickes; her great grandchild Thomas R. Ickes IV; and her pets, Muffin and Sugar.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Herman-Veh Funeral Home & Crematory (319 W Madison St, Gibsonburg, OH 43431). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
