He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward J. Maloney and Anna Francis Souder (Sidney); his grandson Christopher Maloney; and his siblings, Edwin Maloney, Mary Geschwind and Clare Litzinger.
He is survived by: his wife Jo-Ann Maloney (Crawford); his children, Dona Starrett (Rob) of Georgetown, Kathy Adams (Matt) of Higginsport and Donald "Buck" Maloney (Lori) of Georgetown, Ohio; his grandchildren, Chassity Fender (Dylan) of Georgetown, Megan Howard (Richard Hale) of Eaton, Robert H. Starrett (Heather) of Georgetown, Mallory Lahey (Ben) of Anderson, Katlyn Adams (Steven Boyce), Kyler Adams (Mindy) of New Richmond, Trent Maloney (Claire Brookbank) and Michael Maloney (Joanna) of San Diego, California; his great grandchildren, Anistin, Gavin Fender, Lila, Tyson, Hayley Howard, Jacob, Sage Meranda, Cayden, Quinn, Crew Lahey, Tripp, Addi Adams and Brayden Martinez; and his sister Laura Routt. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
