He is survived by: his wife Marilyn; his children, Raul (Rachel), Colleen Sharpless (Ronald) and Kimberly Ballard (Matthew); his grandchildren, Alana Sharpless, Vincent Ballard, Camille Rivas-Plata and Hazel Ballard; and his siblings, Minnie Kargiotis (Evan) and Ricardo Rivas Plata (Nira).
