He is survived by: his wife Patricia Rusiecki; his children, Don McHugh of Hilliard, OH, Melissa Headley (Dean) of Hilliard, OH, Amy Allen of Hilliard, OH and Dennis McHugh of Columbus, OH; his grandchildren, Kailey Smith (Matt), Cameron Headley, Keaton Headley, Matthew Allen, Sydney Allen and Dylan Allen; and his great grandchild Rowan Smith.

Visitation was held on Friday, September 19th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Foster Funeral Home - Smithfield (107 Hill St, Smithfield, OH 43948). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 20th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, September 20th 2025 at the Holly Memorial Gardens (73360 Pleasant Grove Rd, Colerain, OH 43916).
