He was predeceased by: his mother Myrl Elder (Davidson); and his siblings, Harry Elder, Warren Elder, Carl Trudel, Lois Reuscher and Bertha Stull.
He is survived by: his wife Gail Garey; his daughters, Teri Rauschenbach (Rick) and Tammi Wilson (Mark); his grandsons, Jay Rauschenbach (Stephanie), Christopher Wilson (Karah) and Scott Wilson (Brianna Blackburn); his great grandchildren, Audrey Rauschenbach, Aible Rauschenbach and Quentin Wilson; and his siblings-in-law, Edward Garey (Jackie) and Judy Garey.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Barndt Funeral Home (121 W South St, Wayne, OH 43466). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
