Paul Frederick Sasse Obituary
Paul Frederick Sasse, 80 of Hilliard, Ohio passed away on Friday, September 22, 2023 at home with his wife by his side.
Born April 12, 1943 in Perrysburg, Ohio, he was the son of the late Ernest and Helen Sasse. On September 18, 1965 he married Sally Myers in Maumee, Ohio and they shared 58 years of marriage.
In addition to his wife Sally, he is survived by his daughters, Jill (Bill) Segulin and Julie (Angelo) Serra; his grandchildren, Cassandra Segulin, Katherine Segulin, Maxwell Segulin, Nikola Segulin, Giovanni Serra, and Dominic (Paige) Serra; great-granddaughter, Eliana Serra; sister, Alice McIntire and brother, Ernest Sasse.
Paul spent 42 years as a machine operator in Waterville, Ohio and was a proud union steward. He raised his family in Maumee, Ohio until moving to Hilliard, Ohio with his wife, Sally in 2010 to enjoy retirement.
Paul loved to do things around the house. He was always busy fixing or organizing. His biggest joy was spending time with his wife and family. He will be remembered as a very kind man who was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. Oh, the stories he could tell! No one could tell a story better than Paul Sasse!The family would like to thank National Church Residence Hospice for their care.
A Celebration of Life Dinner will be held Saturday, October 28, 2023 at 1 p.m. at Hope United Methodist Church, 10610 Waterville St., Whitehouse, Ohio 43571. A graveside service where Paul will be laid to rest will be held prior to the dinner for the immediate family. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
