He was predeceased by : his father Harold P. Brown; his grandparents, Wilma, Christian Brown, Ruth and Vernon Orr; his sister Karen Sparks; his sisters-in-law, Heidi Brown and Amy Coy; and his mother-in-law Karen Prince.

He is survived by : his mother Elizabeth Brown (Sheets); his wife Melissa Brown (Prince); his children, Natalie and Nick Brown; his father-in-law Mark Prince; his siblings, Betsy Schmalenberger (Tim), Paul Brown (Kara Bodle) and Nancy Hafler (David); his brothers-in-law, Bob Sparks and Jason Coy (Leah); his nieces and nephews, Tyler Schmalenberger (Michelle), Kyla Povse (Dan), Megan Schmalenberger, Jared Brown (Kate), Maggie Coughlin (Sam), Owen Hafler (Alison), Carley Sparks (Andy Wellman) and Cameron Sparks; his great-nephews, Hudson, Calvin Brown and Griffin Coughlin; his pet Bosa; and his cousins, Tim, Stephanie, Jack, John, Sydney Vellky and Marcy Freed.
