She was predeceased by: her father Albert Leroy; her husband Clark R. Derexson; her brother Bill Kern; her son-in-law Jack DeWitt; and her grandson Derek Pepin.
She is survived by: her children, Joy Varnell (John) of Soddy Daisy, TN, Jane DeWitt of Washington, C. H., Craig Derexson (Mitzi) of Chillicothe, Beth Shepherd (Don) of Hilliard, Brian Derexson (Christina) of Reynoldsburg and Brent Derexson of Columbus; her sister Joyce McGuire (John) of Bainbridge; her nieces, Kim Mills (Tom), Cathy Bentley (Gary Hammond) and Cheryl Diltz; and her close friend Betty Putnam of Chillicothe. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
