He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry C. Hickey and Alta M. Hickey (Moore); his siblings, Jack F. Hickey, Eugene "Gene" Hickey, Gerald T. Hickey (June), Robert G. Hickey, Angela L. Hickey and Peggy R. Griswold (Dick); and his daughter Lucy C. Hickey.

He is survived by: his wife Katherine "Kay" A. Skarote; his children, David W. Hickey (Marie) of Florence, KY, Minnie A. Hickey of Galloway, OH and Philip C. Hickey (Nicolette) of Portland, OR.; and his grandchildren, Neal Hickey (Kelly), Rene Hickey Jamison (Bob), Natalie Hickey Weeks (Ray) and Ashley Hickey.
