He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Furbee and Marjorie Furbee (McCord); his sons, Timothy and Thomas Furbee; and his siblings, Howard Furbee, Mary Heldreth and Jane Hoover.

He is survived by: his wife Shirley Furbee (Thorne); his children, Joe Furbee of Cary and Elizabeth Halvey (John) of Westport, Connecticut; his grandchildren, Abrah, Seth, Peyton and Olivia Furbee; his siblings, Robert Furbee of Columbus, Patricia Ashburn of Piqua and Suzie Hawks of St. Marys, Ohio; and his siblings-in-law, Jane and Ronnie Robison of Clewiston, Florida. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Hope, 909 Kenton Station Parkway, Maysville, KY 41056.

He was always so upbeat and willing to help wherever he was needed, and we grew to consider him a good friend.
