We bid farewell to John Ely of Hillsboro, Ohio, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on September 10, 2025 at the age of 75. John touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, John H. Ely and Elsie Ely (Meredith); his son Timothy Ryan Ely; his son-in-law Ryan Hughes; and his siblings, Joann Fisher (Bob) and Jerry Ely.
He is survived by: his children, Amy Heinlein (Matt) of Orient, Jessica Hughes of Washington, C. H. and Rance Ely (Naphat) of Palm Bay, FL; his grandchildren, Myles, Ryan, Dalton, Katie, Kylee and John; his great grandchildren, Kaiden, Alivia and Karter; his sisters, Hazel Downing of Cincinnati, Carolyn Sue Mick of Greenfield, Mary Ellen Jugert of Colorado and Vivian Losey (Terry) of California; and his sister-in-law Nancy Ely of Washington, C. H.. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and several special friends.
