He was predeceased by: his parents, Myley Powell and Mary A. Barber (Foster); his wife Bonnie Jena Powell (Childers); his brother Myley Powell Jr.; and his son Brent Wayne Powell Sr..
He is survived by: his children, Michael Stephen Powell (Jodi) of Florida, Tina Dubiel (John) of West Portsmouth, Hope King (Mike) of Florida, Kara Bond (Shane) of Wheelersburg, Sheri Pelphrey (Doug) of Stout, Jacqueline Powell and Amber Powell. He is also survived by many grandchildren, and many great grandchildren.
