She was predeceased by: her parents, Edon Newland and Dorothy Newland (Williams); and her brother John Newland. She is survived by: her husband Richard Carter; her daughter Jennifer Hester (Tim) of Greenfield; her stepsons, Greg Carter and Brett Rumor; and her grandson Eric Lowe.
