She was predeceased by: her parents, William O. Spence and Ulai Mae Spence (Thompson); her daughter Betty Jo Vesey; and her sisters, Davene Reed, Rebecca Gilbert and Alice Porter.
She is survived by: her husband Joseph Vesey; her sons, Mike Reed (Sue), Bill Reed and Jason Vesey (Ali); her grandchildren, Tonya Sturgill (Kenric), Jamie Reed (Rachel), Laura Moore, Heather Tolle, Isabella Vesey, Julianne Vesey and Hazel Vesey; and her sisters, Patricia Rhoads and Margaret Malicote. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
