He was predeceased by: his parents, Marion Hammond and Nellie Irene Hammond (Morrison); his daughter Shelley Baker; and his nephew Rodney Holladay. He is survived by: his children, Jeffery West (Peggy) of Mowrystown, Jill Hakes (Scott) of Williamsburg, David West (Terri) of Phoenix, Karla Hicks (Mike) of Mt. Orab, Gregg Jones (Kay) of Hillsborough and Deanna Jones of Clarksville; his grandchildren, Amanda West, Tonya Guzzo (Michael), Aaron West, Evan West, Austin West, Matthew Hakes, Daniel Hakes (Molly), Alesha Kerley (Michael), Kody Walter (Ashley), Lucas Jones, Logan Jones, Chelby Wiederhold (Steve), Karyssa Creager and Carsyn Creager; his great grandchildren, Xander Guzzo, Drake Meadows, Tysen Seitz, Hadley Seitz, Morgan Kerley, Tristan Walter and Zoey Robinson; and his sister Patty Holladay (Larry) of Hillsboro.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Turner & Son Funeral Home (602 N High St, Hillsboro, OH 45133). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 at 3:15 PM at the Hillsboro Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Bill's name to the Hillsboro Church of Christ, Building Fund, 155 W Walnut St., Hillsboro, OH 45133 or to Hospice of Hope, 909 Kenton Station Drive, Maysville, KY 41056.
