He is survived by: his wife Christine Thorpe; his sons, Zacherias Thorpe (Cheryl) and Jacob Thorpe; his granddaughters, Liberty and Emma Thorpe; his siblings, Annabelle Carroll and Homer Tharpe; and his niece Samantha Delpercio (Rick).
Bert was skilled at winning at the "mechanical claw" at the grocery stores, upon winning would donate the items to charity.
