She was predeceased by : her parents, Everett Hobbs and Evelyn Hobbs (Mays); and her siblings, Bob Hobbs, Ron Hobbs and Joyce Bailey.

She is survived by : her husband Barry M. Elder; her children, Michaele McCormick (Chad) of Maumee, Tye Elder (Kelly) of Myrtle Beach, SC, Darrin Elder (Ellie) of Toledo and Dennis Elder (Bobbi Jo) of Sylvania; her grandchildren, Alec Elder (Caitlyn), Abbigale McCormick, Emma Elder, Libby McCormick, Logan McCormick, Nathan Elder, Eli Elder, Ian Elder, Jace Elder, Mason Elder and Baelynn Myers; her great grandchildren, Beau Elder and Olive Elder; and her siblings, Bill Hobbs, Al Hobbs (Tina), Barbara Bailey (William) and Gale Hulderman (Joseph). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Brenda's memory to St Jude Children's Research or Make-A-Wish Foundation.
