He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Nichols and Isabel Nichols (Bronikowski); his wife Roberta; his brothers, Robert Nichols, Jim Groves (Homer) and Richard Groves; his children, Michael Nichols, Cathy McAuley and Sandra Nichols; and his son-in-law Todd Langel.
He is survived by: his children, Lisa Kolb (Tyler), Cindy Nichols, Don Nichols II and Susan Langel; his son-in-law Sam McAuley; and his grandchildren, Alyssa, Taylor, Ryan, Samantha, Brittany, Tiffeny, Robert, Anthony, David, Danny, Melissa, Don III and Michael.
The family suggests that contributions in Don's memory be made to the Alzheimer's Association Northwest Ohio Chapter.
