It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dora Bowen of Holland, Ohio, born in Water Valley, Mississippi, who passed away on August 15, 2020, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Wesley Sr. Ragland and Etta Booker Ragland; her husband Eldred B. Bowen Sr.; her son Eldred Jr.; her son-in-law James Hall Sr.; her grandson Horace Robert Charles Gist; and her great grandchild Sarvieyana Bowen.

She is survived by : her children, Larry A. (Tina R.), Clenoyd Bowen, Sondra Bowen of Sylvania, OH, Linda King, Rev. Mellody Bowen-Hall, Deborah Dowell Sr. (Henry) and Sherry Bowen; her goddaughter Rita Hudson of Louisville, KY.; her sisters-in-law, Elma Johnson and Lunora Yarbrough (Johnny) of Irondale, Ala.; and her grandchild Forty. She is also survived by Great-Grand Children and 3+ Great-Great Grand Children as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
