He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Muir and Rose Muir (Hiler); and his sisters, Sara Stephens and Kendra Weatherall. He is survived by: his children, Haley Muir of Newark, Brendan Troy Smitherman (Erika) of New Albany, Ryan Travis Smitherman (Jen) of Mount Vernon and Joshua Tyler Smitherman of Marysville; his grandchildren, Marissa Smitherman, Alexa Keener, Brendan Storm Smitherman, Thomas Smitherman, Anne Reihoehl and Matt Reihoehl; his great grandchild Beckett Keener; and his brother Max Muir of Omaha, NE. He is also survived by canine companion, Addie Girl; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 24th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Snyder Funeral Homes, Dowds Chapel (201 Newark Rd, Mt Vernon, OH 43050). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 25th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Mount Vernon Baptist Temple (21453 Floralwood Dr, Howard, OH 43028).
