She was loved and cherished by many people including : her husband Foster "Bud" Nauffts; her children, Mitchell Nauffts (Lisa Leventer) of New York, NY, Eric Nauffts (Ann) of Haverhill, MA, Geoffrey Nauffts (Christopher Hanke) of New York, NY and Kristin Nauffts (Corlette Baylock) of Stow, OH; her grandchildren, Sasha Sample (Kate), Alexander Nauffts (Karen), Persy Sample (Alan Turan), Tyler Nauffts, Andrew Nauffts, Peter Nauffts and Abigail Nauffts; her great grandchild Bruno Nauffts; and her brother Gary Joseph (Karen). She was also cherished by her children; her mother, father, and brother; the many dear friends.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made in Dorrit's name to Habitat for Humanity and the ACLU of Ohio.
