She was predeceased by : her husband Peter Joseph Leighton; her parents, Sarah Hannigan and Michael Hannigan of Manhattan, NY; her brother Michael Hannigan (Eleanor) of Greenwich, CT; her siblings-in-law, Doris Hannigan of Pompton Plains, NJ and Bill Taylor of San Francisco, CA.; her pets, Buffy, Duffy, Duke, Bo and Brandy; and also Gertrude Briner of Manhattan, NY.

She is survived by : her children, Peter (Bernadette) of Hillsdale, NJ, Steven (Karen) of Hewitt, NJ and Lynn Humiston (Mark) of Hudson, OH.; her grandchildren, Peter (Julie) of Ramsey, NJ, Michael (Meredith) of Hillsdale, NJ, Jennifer of Hillsdale, NJ, Diane of Manhattan, NY, Leslie of Brooklyn, NY and Caitlin (Samantha) of Virginia Beach, VA.; and her great grandchildren, Faith, Lennox and Jackson.
