She was predeceased by: her parents, Clifford Smith and Katharine Smith; and her siblings, Dick Smith and Barbara Mackey. She is survived by: her husband John H. Higgins; her children, Jackie Fong (Perry), Shelly McElroy (Rick), Bill Higgins and John Higgins, Jr. (Debbie); her grandchildren, Patrick, Caitlin Fong, Kristin, Brian McElroy, Brendon, Brett, Garrett and Derek Higgins; her great grandchildren, Christopher and Bennett Higgins; and her sister Grace Simmons (Steve). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
