He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Newyear and Mabel Newyear; and his children, Thomas Newyear, Angela Stoller and Bruce Newyear.
He is survived by: his children, Frank Newyear (Angela) of Defiance, Tanya Kennedy (Greg) of Painesville and Jaime Handy (Michael Leichty) of Berlin Heights. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
