With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Rick D. Ballard of Huron, Ohio, who passed away on December 13, 2025 at the age of 72. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Clay and LaFaun Ballard (Sommers). He is survived by: his wife Joellen Ballard (Camella); his siblings, Carolyn Hayes, Jeff Ballard, Rod Ballard, Henry Ballard, Dan Ballard, Ted Ballard (Terri), Ken Ballard and Barry Ballard; and his brothers-in-law, John Camella, Gary Camella (Dee), Steve Camella (Paula), Michael Camella (Ann) and Bryan Camella (Susan). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 17th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory (1607 E Perkins Ave, Sandusky, OH 44870). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 17th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
