Rita Taylor Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Rita Taylor of Huron, Ohio, who passed away on April 3, 2026 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Aloys Hoying and Mary Hoying (Borchers); her husband Kenneth Taylor; her son Mark Taylor; her son-in-law Kenny Artz; and her siblings, Robert, Virgil, John Hoying, Lawrence, Agnes Buening, Dolores Shepherd and Margaret Frances.

She is survived by: her children, Debra Crooks (Kevin) of Lansdowne, PA, Janis Artz of Troy, Ohio, Sheryl Oglesbee of Huron, Ohio, Gregory Taylor (Kathryn) of Sycamore, IL and Jeffrey Taylor (Debbie) of Ebony, VA; her daughter-in-law Rosemarie Taylor of Willowick, Ohio; her sister Madonna Hoying (Cincinnati); her sister-in-law Lois Hoying of Fort Recovery, Ohio.; and her grandchildren, Kristen Roseman (Mike), Steven Crooks (Brian), Kimberly Zola (Jason), Melissa Gallenstein (Michael), Jason Taylor (Lacey), Rebecca Brunty (Benjamin), Joshua Artz (Yoko), Nicole Maurer (Matt), Ryan Artz (Ashley), Brian Taylor (Jenny), Scott Taylor (Emily), Alex Taylor, Alyssa Murray (Matt), Ethan Oglesbee, Kelsey Taylor and Jake Taylor. She is also survived by sixteen great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
