He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert T. Herkner and Vivian M. Herkner. He is survived by: his children, Liz Da Silva (VA) and John Herkner; his grandchildren, Alexandra and Greyson Herkner; and his sisters, Dr. Katherine Shaffer (WI) and Susan Herkner (MI).
A wake was held on Monday, June 16th 2025 at the Toft Funeral Home, Wakeman Chapel (16 Cooper St, Wakeman, OH 44889). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, June 20th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Christ Episcopal Church (120 Ohio St, Huron, OH 44839).
