He was predeceased by : his parents, Riley "Smokey" LaRue and Luella LaRue (Sulser); and his brother Steven LaRue. He is survived by : his wife Rhonda L. Ghent-LaRue (Conant); his stepchildren, Shawn Ghent of Galion and Trena Taylor (Terry) of Galion; his stepgrandchildren, Cassie Stover, Vince Bail, Andrea Kelly, Miranda Kelly, Brittnay Taylor and Terrahl Taylor; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Corbyn Stover, Addisynn Brown, Elisaac Stover and Ryder Greer; and his siblings, Nancy Schiefer (Ronald) of Iberia, Marilyn Wert of Lexington and Darin LaRue (Tayna) of Galion. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
