It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Stevens (Independence, Ohio), born in Scranton, Pennsylvania, who passed away on July 21, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Barbara is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Barbara's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her children, Martin (Mary Jean) and Laura (Peter); her grandchildren, Patrick (Ashley) and Grace; and her parents, Wilbert Marx and Ann Marx.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to The Poor Clares Monastery in Cleveland, Ohio, or The St. Ann Shrine in Highland Heights, Ohio, in honor of Barbaraʼs memory and lifelong faith.
