He is survived by: his wife Ruth Ann; his daughters, Sally Matlock (Harry), Rachelle Metz (Jeff Currey), Jennifer Bernard (Chad) and Jeannie Monroe (Robie); his grandchildren, Pam Madak, Michael Matlock, Tiffany, Spencer, Jordan, Tyler, Mikayla, Ruthie Metz, Charlie, Brenden Bernard, Kaylee, Gavin and Preston Monroe; and his sisters, Virginia Hyvarinen and Sue Kornatowski.
