It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Diane Damen of Independence, Ohio, who passed away on December 3, 2023, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her mother Grace Romanuk; and her grandfather Joseph Romanuk. She is survived by: her husband Chuck Nelson; her children, Jolie Damen and Amy Shank (Kevin); her grandchildren, Emily, Hannah, Elysabethe Clayton, Isabella, Gianella and Anderson Shank; and her siblings, Louis Vargo (Christine Davis), Karen Vargo, Greg Vargo, Charles Vargo and Mary Vargo (Lee Butscher).
