He was predeceased by: his parents, Klemens Derbin and Genevieve; and his siblings, Barbara Kelly and Klem Derbin. He is survived by: his wife Susan M.; his children, Scott (Hannah), Elise Derbin (Daniel Golden) and Alexis Wellborn (Nick); and his grandchildren, Javier DeJesus, Eleanor Wellborn, Harrison Derbin and Sutton Derbin.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Bill Jacobs Scholarship Fund for the Cuyahoga Heights Local Schools.
