He was predeceased by: his parents, Dewey Owens and Ruby Sykes Owens; his siblings, Pansy Gales, Fern Pearson, Lois Matney and Gilbert Owens; and his son-in-law Tim Wissman.

He is survived by: his wife Evelyn Davis Addis Owens; his children, Kimberly Roberts (Butch), Kathy Wissman (James), Kristy Willis (Greg), Randy Owens (Christy) and Rick Owens; his sister Patty Delores Ehler; and his sons, Bo (Sawyer), Tristen and Boston. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

A graveside service was held on Thursday, August 27th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Lawrence Furnace Cemetery.
