Carla leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Carla’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around her. Though she is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support she offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Carla will carry forward her memory in their hearts.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Leland "Smitty" Smith and Williamina "Inie" Dickson Smith; her son James Dean Leonard; her nephew David Leland Snead; and her great-nephew Jared Snead.
She is survived by: her children, Jami Bentley Thomas (Craig) of Ironton and Chris Bentley (Alex) of Chicago, IL; her grandchildren, Arisa Fillgrove of Ironton, Taylor Kuehne (Nick) of Ironton and Austin Thomas of Ironton; her sister Leah Rae Snead of Ironton; and her nieces, Charla Reedy (Terry), Shara Runyon and Shelli Culbertson (J. B.).
