He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert E. Gainer and Dianne Moffett Gainer; and his brother Scott P. Gainer. He is survived by: his children, Alexander S. Gainer and Samantha J. Gainer of Belpre, Ohio.; his sisters, Meredith "Mimi" Gainer of Greenup and Lisa R. Gainer of Ashland; his stepmother Nancy Gainer of Westwood; his stepbrother William T. Layne of Ashland; and his pet Hoodie. He is also survived by his family, his friends.
