She was predeceased by: her parents, Elza Barber and Effie Barber (Gibson); her husband James O. "Doc" Stapleton; her children, Victor Dean Stapleton and Jill Boyles; her siblings, Florence Marie Douglas, Kenneth and Donald Barber; and her granddaughter Andrea Stapleton.
She is survived by: her children, Kim Alison McDowell (Roy) of Ashland, KY and Carl David Stapleton of Oak Hill, OH.; and her grandchildren, Adam Henderson, David Posey, Krystal Posey, Elijah Posey and Heather Maynard.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Haverhill Cemetery.
