He was predeceased by: his parents, John Andrew Allen and Linda Derifield Meeks; and his brother James Allen. He is survived by: his sons, Ryan A. Allen of Tennessee and J. "Aaron" Allen of Ashland; his grandchildren, Miah K. Allen, Waylon G. Minnehan and Eliana O. Allen; and his brother Lonnie Glenn Nixon of Richmond.
