He was predeceased by: his parents, Linda Barker and Robert Barker; his siblings, Robert Barker, Glenn Barker, Ruth Ravencraft, Helen Clay, Doris Bowman, Marie Fugitt, Pearl Smith and Keith; his sister-in-law Janet Payne; and his half-brothers, Don Barker, David Barker and Kenny Barker.
He is survived by: his spouse Kay Saunders Barker; his daughter Rebecca Vest (Lance); his grandsons, John Franklin Vest (Alexandra) and Benjamin Payne Vest; his sister Gail; his brother-in-law Richard Rous; his nieces and nephews, Bruce Rous, James Rous, David Ravencraft (Charlene), Paul Fugitt, Mary Rous, Judy Fugitt, Melody Abdon and Teresa Ludwig; and his half-siblings, Ernie Barker (Rita), Jimmy Barker (Sherri), Eva Barker Staton and Betty Barker Craddock. He is also survived by relatives and countless friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, May 24th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Steen Funeral Homes - Central Ave Chapel (1501 Central Ave, Ashland, KY 41101). A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 24th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
