He is survived by: his parents, Sybrenia Burton (Ray Hagley) and Michael Bates (Sue); his siblings, Charity Rose of Henderson, Zachary Bates (Andrea) of Carmel and Michael Bates of Indianapolis; his nieces, Dayshia McCloud, Daneyah McCloud, Rosalie Bates and Louisa Bates; his aunts, Maria Kinnard (Randy) of Culloden and Molly Jarman (Andy) of Dwight; his uncle Steve Burton of Olive Hill; his grandmothers, Sherry Burton of Ashland and Anita Shipla of Dwight, Illinois; his cousins, Stephen, Kyrian Keffer, Owen Blevins and Kyla Hedrick; and his close friends, Andy Mack (Lauren), Christopher "Boots" Shoemaker and Kaine Glick.
