He was predeceased by : his parents, John Edward and Goldie Schwab; his wife Wanda Schwab (Gannon); and his brothers, Jimmy, Edward and Pete Schwab.

He is survived by : his children, Paula Gillenwater (David) and Bill Schwab (Kim); his granddaughter Kyra Blankenship (Jason); his great grandchildren, Cruz and Abby Blankenship; and his brother Richard Schwab (Gloria).
