She was predeceased by: her husband Lawrence Kelly Stapleton; her parents, Griffith Kerns and Emma Kerns (Mosley); her in-laws, Willis and Mary Stapleton (Kelly); her siblings, William Kerns (Irene), Carol Hankins (Hank), Buck Kerns, Emma Kerns, Linda Kerns, Shirley Steele, Jerry Kerns, Griff Kerns and Harry Kerns; and her great grandchildren, Oakley Brown, Carson Brown and Colton Markins.
She is survived by: her children, Patty Grove (David), Donna Sanders (Keith), Doris Stapleton, Kelly Stapleton (Heather) and William Stapleton (Marlene); her grandchildren, Tiffany, Kelli, Josh, Kelsey, Austin, Alyson, Katlin, Alex, Abbagail, Christopher, Joshua, Andy, Will, Isaac, Summer, Trinity, Becca, James, Dustin, Amanda, Mary, Zach, Leah, Caleb, Katie, Morgan, Trent, Kyle, Bri, Jake, Maddy, Landan, Alaina, AJ and Bella; her great grandchildren, Grover Jr., Briar, Bennett, Arlo, Gage, Rylie, Nehemiah, Eve, Karsen, Blane, Molleigh, Noah, Haylee, Peyton, Wyatt, Autumn, Kaylee, Kam and Oakley Elsie; her pets, Socks and Fancy; and her siblings, Judy Dixon, Brenda Carver, Tex Kerns and Rex Kerns. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, May 10th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Pine-Grove Freewill Baptist Church (197 Co Rd 26, Ironton, OH 45638). A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 10th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
