She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie Hale and Julia Edwards Hale; her husband Okie Blanton Edwards, Sr.; and her children, Bonnie Lou Edwards and Okie Blanton Edwards, Jr..
She is survived by: her daughter Barbara Sue Gillispie (Alex) of Ashland; her granddaughter Susan Anne Wente (Dan) of Florida; her great grandchildren, Tiffany Alexis Payne (Bill Remy) of Mc Arthur, Ginger Faye Payne (Marcus Allen) of Jackson and Danny Wente of Florida; and her brothers, Bobby Gene Hale of Grayson and James Earl Hale of Blaine.
