He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward G. Smith and Irene; and his brother Richard A. Wood. He is survived by: his wife Jean Ann; his children, John Smith (Melissa) of Hartville, Geoff Smith (Kim) of New Franklin, Jenny Smith (Mark Thomas) of Santee and Megan Lang (Ryan) of New Franklin; and his grandchildren, Logan Smith, Morgan McCloskey (Adam), Ashton, Madison Wills, Ronan, Camden Lang and Kenzley Smith.
